The mechanical strength and temperature resistance of the material are higher than that of silver under the condition that the contact resistance is almost the same. Therefore, the resistance to fusion welding and arc burning resistance is better than that of silver.

Silver cadmium oxide


Overview: Silver cadmium oxide is the most widely used contact material for low voltage electrical appliances. It has good resistance to arc burnout and fusion resistance and low contact resistance from start to finish during use. The production process includes pre-oxidation-sintering-extrusion and internal oxidation. Cadmium oxide content is about 10-20% by weight. These two properties of the product are improved due to the increased nickel content of the high melting point. All silver-nickel materials are very workable and easy to solder.
